So, this is a post for those of you whose Recipe bookmarks are taking over your browser!
I’ve become a Publisher Partner with Yummly.com, an online tool which allows you to store recipes from all over the web in one place. Your personal recipe box will have thumbnails of all of the recipes you’ve saved. On Yummly, you can see the ingredients list and then click off to the original blog or website where the recipe originated for the full instructions. This is a great system for people who want to be able to hoard recipe ideas, especially if you’re not into Pinterest.
One great feature is that you can flip between metric and imperial measurements as appropriate – this is sooo handy if you follow international blogs who do not post in your local measurement style because Yummly does it all on their end. Great for those bloggers who don’t have time to convert all their recipes, great for home cooks who want to cook with the system most comfortable to them. They even do volume to weight conversions on popular ingredients which is amazing.
You can also browse to see what is popular on Yummly, search every recipe that’s ever been saved there, and discover lots of new recipes that way. Just don’t forget little ol’ meeeeee!
To sign up, go to Yummly.com and they’ll take it from there. You can connect it with a social media account if that is easier for you.
Now that you’re on Yummly, you can start saving recipes from Ciao Veggie and anywhere else you like – read their instructions for installing a browser toolbar extension. This is a must.
Also, at the end of every recipe, I have a sharing bar where you can “Yum” my recipes straight to your account!
